Lonely Road is a depiction of my Fathers childhood farm in the Meander Valley, Tasmania. The area is known for its beautiful, thick creamy milk production. The farms in the Meander Valley and surrounds sit in the shadow of the famous Lake St. Clair National park aswell as many other mountains. Its a stunning part of the world but its conditions can be brutal, unrelenting winds and frosts can make farm life very difficult.
This piece is about beauty and peace even under trying conditions. Sometimes you just have to take a moment to slow down to be able to see it.
